This project was done with Elena Velez, a recent Parsons grad as part of her thesis presentation. The three physical samples were made during my time at The Brooklyn Fashion and Design Accelerator from re-purposed ship sails, ship flags, and parachutes which were contrasted with luxury fabrics such as duchess satin. The pieces I have made by traditional means serve as a ‘proof-of-concept’ to build upon as I develop new knowledge and experience in burgeoning technologies from virtual fashion.
